Teachers and doctors are highest paid civil servants in Bhutan

The Bhutan Cabinet recently announced a pay hike following a formal meeting pertaining to pay revision. The country’s teachers will all enjoy a professional allowance ranging from 35 per cent to 55 per cent. Teachers with no experience or up to 10 years of experience will get a 35 per cent professional allowance, while those with 10 to 20 years of experience will get a 45 per cent allowance. The ones with over two decades of experience will enjoy an allowance equal to 55 per cent.G
